or at least..... it would have been if they’d bothered making the other half of the game
i mean... the 4 hours or so it took to get me through the game were amazing
storytelling and setpieces that were awesome
then it ended... just as i got warmed up
(im still kind of annoyed.... its the game that could have been)
(yes im bored)

I should try that. Last shooter I played was Spec Ops: The Line. It’s hard to top that experience.
My favorite is still Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

not played those... think i should give em a shot
storywise.. homefront feels like a movie... unfortunately lengthwise it does too
if ye see it cheap somewhere give it a shot.... but you wont get more than about 5 hours out of it...bare that in mind before handing over your cash
gameplay wise... its solid... if you know shooters you got this kinda fare

SO:tL will fuck you up. Try to avoid spoilers. Just buy it and play it.
GR:FS is kinda generic story wise but it makes up for it with cool visuals and amazing game play.

A ridiculous premise, but not nearly as personally insulting as far cry 5.

Are you in a heavily armed doomsday cult that forces psychoactive chemicals on the unsuspecting populace in order to turn them into bloodthirsty zombies? Because if not--setting aside whether or not it’s, like, good--I’m very curious how you could be personally insulted by Far Cry 5.

I still remember how annoying the enemy spawning mechanics were for this.
Wait behind a barrier and pick off enemies one at a time ? Unlimited spawning, you end up dead eventually because they never stop coming .
Run kamikazee into a group of enemies ? They stand there while you shoot them and that’s that.
Otherwise I thought the story was good, just too short and hampered by the crappy gameplay.

Blood dragon is such a pain in the ass to get started with, but it’s so fun, even if the controls are a bit wonky

The ending (s) both sucked. like hell he could get a hold of nukes, nor fire them. nor brainwash people into murdering each other. The cult stuff.... I guess. reeks of #topical but I was having fun up until the credits rolled.
Just cant stand all the pseudo psychological
bullshit. There is no gratification when you kill the bosses.

I admittedly didn’t particularly enjoy the boss fights either (never really do) but I did enjoy the game overall.
SPOILERS...
I think you’re mistaken about the meaning of the nuke ending—it’s not the cult that launched them, but the opposite: the world (implied by the developments reported on the radio news whenever you’re driving througout the game) devolved to nuclear war, thu s vindicating the cult’s doomsday predictions and arguably validating their preparatory efforts , albeit not their methods . Doesn’t make it any more fulfilling as a gameplay matter , but it’s certainly more plausible and more interesting narratively.

No, the cult took access to the silos, that's where their bases are. They don't nuke in the other ending.
